Painting gives me balance and allows me to set aside everything else – work, chores, the endless list of things to do. While most of my paintings are done on location, the larger ones are painted in my studio. The sizes of my paintings range from 2 inches x 3 inches to 4 feet x 4 feet. There are challenges to doing both - how do you capture a scene in a few square inches? How do you paint a vast landscape on a 4 foot x 4 foot painting? Great challenges and great fun! To do what I love, and to do this in such spectacular scenery, is what Shakespeare would call “a gift beyond measure”.
